Build One Five-Column EB-1A Evidence Row Before You Build the Whole Profile
A practical check for claims, independent proof, exact locators, and gaps that still need evidence.
Before you map an entire EB-1A profile, build one evidence row.
Use five columns:
1. The claim you want to make
2. Your strongest independent source
3. The exact page, paragraph, table, or timestamp
4. The limited fact the source proves
5. The gap that still needs evidence
Start with one proposed criterion. Write the narrow fact you want the record to establish. Then choose the source least dependent on you or your employer.
Add an exact locator. A reviewer should be able to open the source and find the supporting fact without searching the whole document.
A worked example
Say you led a high-impact technical system. A customer case study may show outside adoption and a measured result. The case study establishes that the system mattered outside your team.
The same source may never name you. It cannot establish your individual role. Add a role-specific record instead of stretching the adoption source beyond the fact it proves.
Run this check on the few criteria you expect to carry the case. Drop claims that depend on adjectives, internal praise, or a long explanation. Give the finished map to counsel for legal judgment and filing strategy.
